ICTP will soon be welcoming Thai advanced PhD students to its campus, thanks to an agreement with the Thailand Center of Excellence in Physics (ThEP). Up to five Thai PhD students per year can visit ICTP to attend short courses or schools. An additional two PhD students can participate in ICTP's Sandwich Training Educational Programme, which offers fellowships in physics and mathematics. The agreement also created joint postdoctoral positions at ICTP. Provisions for ICTP to expand its presence in Thailand include providing experts for workshops or conferences to be held at ThEP, as well as joint regional activities.
