Fresh Faces at ICTP

ICTP welcomed its new batch of postgraduate diploma students at a ceremony on 12 October 2012; this year 45 students from more than 20 countries have enrolled for the year-long programme. The students, all from developing countries, have already started with classes as they look to complete a rigorous one-year programme that will help them be competitive at an international level.

"I hope you enjoy the stay here in Trieste," said ICTP Director Fernando Quevedo "and I hope you approach the programme with enthusiasm." The Director emphasised on the need to stay focused and work hard and asked the students to maintain ties with each other and the Centre when they have completed the programme.
