In Memoriam

ICTP was saddened to hear about the passing of Professor Dame Louise Johnson, widow of ICTP founder Abdus Salam. She was a biochemist and an emeritus professor at the University of Oxford. In 2011 she was elected as a foreign associate of the US National Academy of Sciences; in 2009 she became an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, as well as a Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).
