ICTP's partner institute in Brazil, the ICTP South American Institute for Fundamental Research, announces its second Southern-Summer School on Mathematical Biology, to be held 21 January to 2 February 2013 in São Paulo.
Aimed at graduate students in physics, mathematics, ecology and epidemiology, the two-week school will devote its first half to the basics of population biology, including many modelling exercises. The second half of the school will consist of three advanced courses on up-to-date topics in ecology and epidemiology. It is possible to apply for participation either for one or two weeks. Undergraduate students with exceptional records are also encouraged to apply.
Limited funds are available for travel and local expenses. There is no registration fee.
