An Incubator of Theoretical Physics

ICTP is "a factory of talents, an incubator of theoretical physics, that contributes every day to advance knowledge on matters such as the production of energy, and not only that," according to an article that appeared on 21 February 2013 in Il Sole 24, one of Italy's major daily newspapers.

In a sidebar to an article about Trieste's high concentration of research institutes, ICTP received special recognition not only for its Nobel laureate founder Abdus Salam, but also for its ability to attract researchers from around the world who settle down in Trieste and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
