Colloquium at Cosmology School

ICTP's Colloquium Series will feature a talk on 23 July 2013 by Andreas Albrecht, theoretical physicist and Chair of UC Davis, Department of Physics. Albrecht's talk titled "Origin of probabilities and their application to the multiverse" is part of the School and Workshop on New Light in Cosmology from the CMB, which runs 22 July to 2 August 2013.

Albrecht, who is a theoretical physicist, studies the early universe, cosmic structure, dark energy and related topics. His current research interests include "Fundamental issues with the theory of cosmic inflation, the formation of cosmic structure, and the search for an understanding of the dark energy."

ICTP's Colloquium Series introduces audience to talks by leading researchers and aims to increase interaction between its research groups and expose doctoral students to the Centre's rich array of physics and mathematics activities.

Albrecht's talk is scheduled at 16:15 CET in ICTP's main lecture hall.
