Scientists who wish to further science in the developing world take note: ICTP has announced a call for proposals for its 2015 Scientific Calendar.
Each year, the Centre offers about 50 schools, conferences and workshops in Trieste and abroad. The activities are aimed at scientists in the developing world and provide a unique, international forum of scientific contact. Participants gain access to a network of some of the top scientists in their fields, and are exposed to the latest advances and techniques in physics and mathematics.
ICTP Scientific Calendar activities attract renowned scientists as lecturers, including a large number of Nobel Laureates and Fields Medallists.
The activities are conducted either at ICTP's modern conference facilities or at international locations, often in developing or emerging countries. Many of the activities based in Trieste are available for viewing online thanks to ICTP's automated recording system EyA.
For more details, please see the Call for Proposals. The deadline is 15 February 2014.
