Deadline Approaching  

ICTP and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development have launched a support programme for advancing the capabilities of Arab researchers and students in science and technology. 
 
Included in this programme are up to 10 new ICTP Associate fellowships supported by the Arab Fund, allowing Arab scientists with research or faculty positions in their home countries or other Arab Fund countries, at all stages of their careers, to visit ICTP for up to 3 visits over a 3-year period. Applications are now being accepted; the deadline is 29 February.
 
Arab Fund Associates will visit the ICTP for one to two months per year during the three-year period of their award. They may bring also a PhD or Masters student of their choice for each of the visits.

In addition to the research fields listed below, ICTP-Arab Fund Associates can also pursue research in the field of Digital and Computer Networking.

• High Energy, Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics
• Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics
• Mathematics
• Earth System Physics
• Quantitative Life Sciences
• Science, Technology and Innovation
• Medical Physics

 
Eligible are scientists who hold a PhD and are nationals of and working in Arab Fund Member States (Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibuti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen). Special attention will be given to least developed countries and geographical distribution.
